bernard Porter did become disgusted with his proffession and and turned to writing poetry and painting.
I don't think he was a direct part of the Manhattan project but was a nuclear physicist who's expertise was used to develop the Atomic Bomb.
Three other scientists (who's names I can't recall) from the Manhattan project had their careers destroyed by the government not long after Hiroshima/NagasakiOppenheimer himself, did remain a scientist and consistantly protested the development and testing of more destructive weapons.
I don't know how many that leaves, from the Manhattan project anyway.
