The gold frame is a bit much--but I'm not sure Zarqawi is someone I'm going to spend too much sympathy/outrage on.
I object to lots of stuff I see in newspapers, and I find the framed face idea in pretty bad taste (and none too appetizing on other levels)-- but that guy was about as vicious and depraved as you can get. Not subhuman, but a flowering of something in the human condition that is really bad.
What bothers me way more is the fact that people say "2500+ people have been killed in the Iraqi war"-- when between 20,000 and 100,000 Iraqis have been killed, the majority of them civilians.
