My problem with Pat Robertson isn't his statements, it is the mainstream media continuing to cover his statements. I want a divide between what I call real news and things like this that seem to be business as usual to me. I do resent that so many stations on my cable that I pay for are totally religious in nature, and that he is a prominent spokesperson for that kind of religion. I'd like the choice to say no to his station, I'd also like the choice to say no to the Golf station.

There will always be a problem between groups believing they are the only Way, but why bother believing if you don't Believe? By that I mean it is his religion and his belief and he has freedom of both. I'm not sure how he gets to have so much attention at this late stage in his career.

I've now covered Politics, religion, and Golf. I tried to be civil. I do have a point and that is not that Pat or his followers are wrong or right, just that I don't see his opinion as particularly newsworthy at this point in history. Not because he isn't a worthy human being, but because his influence has diminished over the years. Now I'm just rambing.
