I don't know. It depends how you weigh 'help' I guess. I mean... The contribution from some other countries can look insignificant when compared in dollar terms to US contribution (especially given the exchange rate ha!). But when compared by population size or something like that then the contributions compare differently no doubt.To the best of my knowledge the US is about the richest country in the world.
I don't understand why it needs help from poorer countries to look after its own.
It is of course a horrible situation. And with respect to particular people I guess that most people would want to do something to help if they could.But...
It is also that this one is closer to home
I mean how many people starve to death every day in the world?
How much to countries really contribute toward alleviating their situation?
I don't know what to say.
