I was brought up as a believer, and no one ever talked about masturbation being wrong. I think God wants us to use our common sense......I know about the "spilling seed thing."

BUt, I am a woman. I was married for 31 years to an abuser, and then got the courage to divorce him. I then met with a kind of abuse I'd never heard of (digressing here); SPIRITUAL abuse; my church of 31 years voted me out of membership, with my name up on a big screen, followed by the words: "Conduct Unbecoming A Child of God."

www.churchabusepoetrytherapy.com (faith-based poems of anguish, healing hope and comfort came pouring from my wounded soul).

What I went through was horrific.

I think a lot of christians make things more confusing by questioning so much, which should be common sense.

I have remained celibate for all of the years I have been alone. It isn't easy, because after having sex for 31 years....well.....I am a very passionate person. Not being touched, living alone, etc.....is excruciating.

Babies die without human touch; adults just suffer.....therefore....if I need to touch myself (anywhere), common sense tells me that is why I was given hands......(kind of tongue-in-cheek)...sheesh.
