I don't really come here often, so maybe I don't know this boards approach or personal issues, if so sorry. I think its a good idea to work with the way you like to eat (as long as its not directly making an actual disorder anorexia/bulimia worse)), its hard enough to change from routines we like, shouldn't make it even harder. the worst thing about famine-feast cycle is that when one get really hungry, one eats lots of unhealthy foods, and gets a lot of calories before satisfied. up to 24h fasting is ok, take multivitamin and such. but don't wait to get super hungry, after a set amount of time, eat a little bit, preferably fruit, and then prepare a healthy meal with some vegetables, protein, etc. I think working on controlling the most disfunctional parts of an eating habit are most important, and by using an eating pattern that your body naturally feels comfortable with, you can save the willpower for the important parts.
