I keep reading about "living in the moment" and being aware that something in the future won't make you happy. But since I can't walk right now, and I keep catching glimpses of me, as a blob, sitting in a wheelchair, it is hard not to think "if only I were thinnner" I'd be happy. And I think I would be!
I'm working with a book using journaling as a method for weight loss. I'll let you know how it goes. Perhaps the one good thing about not walking is that I can't easily wander down to the kitchen when I'm bored.
