>Yeah, it makes it bitter, and too astringent. Tastes vary, and oolong isn't as delicate as green tea, but I never scorch the leaves that way. Boiling the water fully, then waiting a full minute before pouring it on the leaves can yield a better flavor in oolongs. If you can get multiple extractions, though, it sounds like it's good tea. :)

Hm. Didn't know that. As for the organic source thing, I doubt that'd make a difference--it's the same molecule, which is all that matters in most circumstances. It might be possible that another chemical present in the infusion could assist the GABA through the BBB, but that strikes me as unlikely.
