Right - that's what I've read also; in addition to being less of a threat (niacin) to the liver in high doses. However I tried just 100mg of niacin and got a very bad flush which I didn't enjoy at all (I just look like a crab). So I prefer the niacinamide, although I never go above 1,500mg a day because of the liver issue. I don't know how I'd react with larger doses of niacin, probably really bad flushing.
