1tbsp twice a day isn't going to do much. Lithium Carbonate is just a salt. The therapeutic dose is near the toxic dose. For a long while I was even taking less than that just to avoid side-effects but suffering as a result.

The "alternatives", lecithin included, seem safe even at high doses. I found that I had to take doses much higher than if I were using them as a supplement. Hence measuring the lecithin out in cups, 1/3 - 1/2 cup for me ( more than enough ). I used to measure out 15 spoonfuls but it got annoying. ( each serving/spoon - 1300mg Phophatidylcholine )

Watch out for signs of depression if you take too much. I find the Taurine doesn't have that side-effect.

I'm eager to hear what Stoll has to say. What I'm taking is working VERY well - much better than lithium and without the side-effects and blood tests. I haven't felt like this in years.
