people on comas don't have IV feeding, they have tube feeding. A tube goes directly into the stomach. IV feeding has major complications because the digestive system shuts down. The immune system gets compromised. Because of that IV feeding is a last resort for people who can't have tube feeding.
The bigger issue is that you don't want to eat. It's normal to have appetite loss with some meds, but not to have complete aversion to eating. How about discussing it with your doctor?
