> It seems that for about the last six months, Dr. Bob has not interacted with the board at all - no PBCs, no blocks and no expressed views.
I don't think I agree with you on this. Bob's interaction has indeed been scarce, but not too long ago there was an intervention when a blocked poster showed up under a *new* name and started being disruptive. And you're right - it's been a long, long time since I've seen a PBC. I cannot agree with "and no expressed views." Views are expressed on the boards every day. Lots of different types of views are expressed - with the exception of expressing views that include disparaging other people or people groups (i.e. psychiatrists, etc.) Just because views are expressed respectfully without resorting to rudeness doesn't mean views aren't being expressed.
>Maybe I missed it, but I have not seen any discussion about it. I am curious as to what people think. Is an unmoderated board optimal, or is a minimal, flexible degree of leadership preferable? Does anyone know what Bob's current views are? Is anyone in touch with him?
I don't think it's entirely unmoderated, although I can see how it might seem that way compared to the more intensive moderation of the past. I think it's just minimal. And I do think that is preferable.
