Auto asterisk, and leaving

Posted by muffled on September 6, 2009, at 10:23:29

How to turn off auto asterisk:
Go to top of page.
See the link FAQ,
The in the FAQ, look under "Technical Issues""
Click on "what are the options at this site"
Then under the heading 'What makes this site different from other sites? Or, what are the options at this site?'
Click on the word "customize"
A screen comes up for you to enter name and password. Enter them and click on 'look up settings'.
Scroll down a bit to automatic asterisking.
Read what it says, then if you still want to do so, click on ' Turn automatic asterisking off'.

Thats it.

Just keep in mind that you don't want to hurt others with your words.
Keep in mind that if you are finding this site supportive, then don't burn your bridges until you have found other supports.

Cuz, I have been blocked unexpectedly, and to have the carpet pulled out from under you can be very awful. Even when I have expected a block, it is hurtful to not be able to 'connect'.
I think Bob has tried to mitigate this by allowing 'one way' bmail, and also acess to chat.
I still find it intolerable to be here.
I know it is really hard to leave your friends here, but you may be able to connect elsewhere, and people/friends will be OK, you have to trust that.
No board is perfect, there is always some controversies, but they can be handled differently at different places, you just have to try them out or read them awhile first.
So do whats best for your own mental health.
Just leave if you can, or stay, or leave gradually, or just walk away, or get yourself blocked if you can't seem to wean away.
Whatever you need to do to do whats best for you.
If this site is helping and you don't mind Bob and his rules, then OK.
If you find yourself stressed by them, then better to go elsewhere.
The net is crawling w/boards/blogs etc.
Just be careful....
Take care, one and all.
We are all people worthy of dignity and care.
Blessings to all of you.
I still miss people here....but ya, gotta trust that they are OK.
M
