I too find that it's well overdue for me to leave Babble. I've had many benefits from the site over the years, from anecdotal medical experiences, to shared diagnoses, to cultural connections. I'm afraid that I'll have to skip thanking everyone - because too many people have changed their names, or left, or I've pissed off or whatever. But so many people have helped me, taught me, shown me better ways to live and learn.
I was forced to learn a new way to communicate by coming here. A better way? That's undecided. Different, definitely. Most times, the techniques sure left lots of elephants in the room; it got crowded at times.
Now, I find that Babble has become for me a place with more risks and detractors than benefits. I simply had to do the math, count the pills I take to face every single day; and add up the therapist dollars I spend every month to see that Babble has gone way past the sell by date for me.
I hope to be able to continue keeping in touch with those I've managed to maintain a semblance of a relationship with. My babblemail will be turned off in a week.
Onwards.With best regards,
PartlyCloudy
