Yes, it is obvious.
Dr Bob found the joke to be 'uncivil' or 'disrespectful'.
The poster didn't understand how someone would find the joke to be 'uncivil or disrespectful'.
One often feels a little indignant when someone judges us so.
If we don't see how it is 'uncivil' or 'disrespectful' then typically one persists.
One thing that could happen would be that the poster comes to understand.
Another thing that could happen is that the person who took offense could come to understand.
One more thing that could happen would be that the poster would be blocked.
It is like a little kid really. Parent says 'no'. Kid persists. Kid is put into 'time out'.
Of course people do have things to say about the harmfulness of authoratarian parenting practices.
And time out isn't supposed to extend over weeks or months or years.
But that is THE WAY THINGS ARE DONE.
I mean, really, whats the alternative?
