I second rsk's suggestion! I think that is a really good idea: someone with direct administrative links to Bob could fill the void and provide a much-needed umbrella for the deputies. Maybe not so much an intern as a recent grad? It would probably be best if he/she were not a poster (potential conflict of interest), but was committed to the concept of this type of online MH community and interested in learning to administer one. Given the increasing inevitability of providing such help/services online (and the increasing competition for clinical practices for recent grads), it would seem likely that at least some good ones might want to go in this direction, perhaps as a future career move.
The ideal person potentially would be interested in more than a short-term commitment to Babble (assuming things worked out mutually), compassionate, respectful, responsive, helpful, calm, and above all capable of keeping perspective especially during times of stress and discord (sorry, Dinah, this does sound a lot like you!). Aren't these qualities of the ideal therapist, after all? A little sense of humor would help a lot too.
