Sometimes it helps me when I feel angry and upset, to vent it all in a journal. Then, later I go back to it and ask myself what I was really wanting, but had become embedded under all that hurt.
What do I want people to know? What do I want people to do? What do I really feel about this?
I think a "I feel angry" or "I want people to do this" or "I want people to know" is very effective and more likely to get a positive response.
I feel very triggered by things I perceive as outbursts. My father was the king of the angry outburst followed my profuse apologies. It never made the outburst go away. I never understood how he could give himself permission to do it.
Hope you feel better soon.
