In reply to question about notify admin button, posted by karen_kay on January 3, 2008, at 8:04:31
You use the notify function for anything that might lead others to feel accused or put down.
So, say, if a new poster posts a medication question on Social, and someone wants to give friendly directions to the Medication Board, it's not necessary to contact the administrators. Although if you want it done officially it's probably quicker.
But in other redirect circumstances it might be better to contact the administrators. Context is important.
If posting it publicly could lead others to feel accused or put down, notify the administrators. Anytime you want to report a post for any purpose, it's likely better to notify the administrators. It's also faster.
We don't need to know when you go to the bathroom, thank you. :)
