I would imagine that it's in the eye of the beholder or in this case, the treated.
> But isn't coming on here and talking negatively about administation and Dr. Bob, against the rules, and it is forcing even more pressure on the duputies on what to do with your posts?
I'm not talking about the administration. I'm talking about Dr. Bob. It's true, he might feel accused and put down by my words. There's nothing here that I haven't already told him privately multiple times. I wrote what I did the way I did with intention. I believe my post came across exactly as I intended. I'm aware that it might not be civil, and I'm prepared for and will be accepting of whatever consequences come my way. I've told the deputies that I'm okay with any action they might feel is necessary, though I acknowledge it might feel tricky for them.
> Do they support you or apply the rules the same as they would do to anyone?
These are not mutually exclusive possibilities.
> I know I wouldn't want to be put in the position of enforcing rules against my friends, for whatever their reasons, even if they are right.
That's an important thing for potential deputy candidates to consider, because it can and does happen. I'd quibble on the use of "put in" a situation, but that's not really the point.
> I am sure he isn't trying to make the deputies upset.
I agree. If he were trying to make people upset, that would make him sadistic.
> I also question him being a narraissit. When I met him, I couldn't get him to say ANY thing about himself.
Happy, there are personality traits we all have, and then there are clinical personality problems. We all have some degree of narcissism. It's a scalable trait. In fact, a healthy degree of narcissism is pretty much crucial for healthy functioning. The terms "narcissist" or NPD are clinical concepts and are a different animals altogether from talking about a trait. I have to stress again that I've not labeled Dr. Bob with any clinical term. Rather, I've at times described his behavior as narcissistic and/or coming from a narcissistic drive. This may seem picayune, but I want to be very very clear about what I'm saying and what I'm *not* saying. It would be inappropriate for me or anyone else to label someone diagnostically from afar and in the absence of a clinical assessment. I'd like to avoid feeling accused of doing so, particularly when I'm not.
