"Jackass" isn't considered often or usually disparaging, obscene, offensive, or vulgar.
And the system just asterisks the first vowel of a word. I agree, that ends up being an odd one sometimes. But the server can't tell which one "should" be asterisked. But it could asterisk them all instead, would that be better?
