See, I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I think people should be able to change their names whenever they want - there are plenty of good reasons. On the other hand, I agree with Dinah that it can feel uncomfortable if you feel like you used to know them, but can't place them or something. So I guess I don't have an opinion, because I can't make up my mind!
