I generally write any long emails or Babblemails in Word, then paste them into the Babblemail window or my email message 'Compose' window. So another option is to use your favorite word processor, where you can save, edit, spell check, see the whole message, etc. Not to mention save it for the purpose of 'cooling off' and going back later to see if you should really send it...:-)
I do that for some of the reasons mentioned here, and also because my ISP is currently a little finicky and I can (and do)lose my internet connection at any time - suddenly. And I often just don't have the energy to recreate an entire, lenghty message I've just lost.
But that's just me. I know that might not be convenient or desireable for some. And it doesn't mean there isn't always room for tweaking Babblemail to make it better/easier to use.
