I think letting someone know your feelings are hurt is fine but when we request, or expect, an apology, we are really asking them to feel a certain way.

Perhaps, you could say to them, "my feelings are hurt", and let them decide on their own how they feel about it. Just let them be themselves.

A request for an apology also brings in an element of pressure - to think and feel a certain way. If they aren't sorry, they should be.

That's my take on it but I'm not much good at connecting with people on Babble. In my world, ships just pass each other in the night.
