Dr. Bob, I have a question. I came across an article, on the state of health care in Iraq, which is somewhere in western Europe (I think- maps confuse me and I hated studying history inschool- all that bad news, all the time!), and in which is contained an uncivil remark about American health care policy in Iraq (I expect you take a keen interest interest in health care, since you are a health care professional). The uncivil remark is found at the very termination of the article.

It strikes me that it is articles like this that have made the war in Iraq unpopular in western Europe, or wherever people do not ban uncivilities (or is that incivilities?- never mind, as long as we agree in principle). Policies to civilize discourse would quickly end this problem.
I am composing a letter of protest to the editor of the L.A. Times even as I type this query.
