I should have said his assumptions appear correct, as far as they go. But I don't think he is correctly factoring in lack of understanding of the rule.
Actually, I might like to propose that different types of infractions might start over at one week. Because the basis of long blocks is the assumption that people would learn over time what is and isn't allowable. But that doesn't necessarily translate into other types of violations. So someone who was blocked for a long period of time for giving information on the illegal import of drugs without prescription several times wouldn't necessarily understand the three post limit, and wouldn't be deliberately breaking the rules.
So that there could be more than one column per poster on the blocking spreadsheet.
Maybe I have overlooked something, but that seems more in keeping with the spirit of lengthy blocks to me.
