I do tend to forget about first-time readers. I shouldn't do that. But perhaps....drawing that conclusion might be like "judging a book by its cover," i.e., many things seem provocative, or even or vulgar or course on the surface, yet when you look further..you find something very different.

Only way for that to disappear is to spend more time here...a double-edged sword, as Rain was experiencing during the time she wrote her post(s). (I'm not suggesting you spend more or less time here - just saying that once I did that, I've been able to learn to pick up on the vast majority of nuances and habits found in people's posting styles...)

I didn't think it was that sort of complaint.

If I appear in my front lawn, talking loudly about evicting some scum scoundrel from the neighborhood, would the fact that I might be talking about myself make my behavior any more becoming for my neighbors?
Thanks for explaining more what your post was comtemplating. That's what I was trying to ask.
Not sure if I can equate the Admin board to "your front lawn" - still thinking on that one. But yes - for me, once I knew what and whom you were talking about, I'd probably ignore you and/or be mildly amused. Or possibly try to help, if I could think of a way.
