I am a chemically long-cycler with Major Depressive Disorder.
In the "normal" scheme of things, it usually takes about five years OR a HUGE amount of stressors within a short period of time to bring my chemicals down so much that I plunge into suicidal depression.
For your study, I thought I would let you know how much your site has been helping me get through these awful times within the last seven months...
my son decided to live full time with his father
my father died (TONS of ambvilance due to his physical abuse of me as a child which was never even talked about much less "resolved" and which now will never be)
my significant other and I moved in together
my significant other lied to and deceived me
my significant other began drinking heavily
my significant other resorted to physical violence during an argument while he was drunk
I fled my home out of fear
I broke a two year house lease (emotional and financial stress, there!)
I moved into a new apt (I have bad credit from ex-husband- stress there, too, besides the physical stresses placed on my body)
My significant other stopped drinking and wants to live separately but go to couples counselling and anger management therapy and, last
I have forced myself to be brave enough to give him a chance to prove himself worthy of another chance of a future with me.
I would never have made it through all of this in the last nine months if it were not for the love and support of my fellow babblers.
Sincerely,
Sunny10
