Redirecting threads.

Posted by alexandra_k on December 3, 2004, at 18:57:02

ok. I get how you can choose to redirect your message to a different board, but can one do this so that the redirected response has links to the rest of the thread history of posts on the original board?

Tried to redirect a newbie request to babble and f'd up in this respect. Was hoping that my response would appear on babble and that there would be links so peoples could follow the thread from the start without having to trek over to newbies.

Can you do this? How?
Was that an appropriate thing to do?
Is it okay to redirect newbie threads?
Or should I have asked if that was ok and waited for a response first?????

Can someone (ie bob) clear out the hopeless jumble of threads I ended up making :-(

Ta.
