Archiving question, Dr. Bob

Posted by Larry Hoover on October 22, 2004, at 6:33:32

I understand that archiving of a board occurs when a certain volume threshold is reached, i.e. when the space occupied on the server by the active threads reaches a certain capacity.

How is it determined which threads will carry forward to the new active archive period? When Alternative just archived, precious few threads made the cut, while active threads (posts on Oct. 20) did not remain "active". I would hope that you are able to tweak the code so that boards with lesser activity do not seem to virtually disappear when they are archived.

Thanks,
Lar
