Dr. Hsiung,
I am requesting that you take into consideration the following if you are going to consider that only email to you could be used to ask for you to make a determination, deletion, clarification, etc..
The original request to you hear to only allow email for the requests in question wrote something about "personal angst" being displayed here like a Hank Williams Jr. song.
I believe that on the administrative board, that these requests for determination have the potential to benifit the supportivness of the forum. Because of that, I feel that posts on the administrative board have some sort of shelter from administrative sanction so that the "angst" could be removed and posters could feel free to write without having angst.
That is why I have stated that I am not looking for the poster to be sanctioned for what they wrote in my request to you for a determination, but that the determination be made in order to have more light. I feel that ther could be a more supportive forum if the administrative board had the following provision incorperated into it: I would appreciate your consideration as to if you could examine my proposal and comment on it.
Lou's proposal:
Article A:
If a post is submitted for a determination, then if it is found to be not in accordance with the forum's guidlines, that the post only carry , at the most, a "please be civil" or that the post be deleted or asked to be rephrased.
Article B:
If a post is requested for determination or such, that the poster of such be requiered to either:
1.admit that what is in question is something that they did not intend to post,
2.write why they think that the post is acceptable in accordance with the forum's guidlines
Article C:
If a post has a request for clarification, then:
1. The poster be requiered to post a clarification or be considered in contempt of the forum and this could carry a sanction beyound a notation by the moderator.
2. The moderator could declare that no clarification is needed or warrented.
Article D:
That posts that have any of the following be deleted:
1. posts that have the potential to be considered racial or ethnically offensive
2. posts that are sexually offensive
3. posts that are offensive to gender
4. posts that are in other catagories that could be considered as offensive as the above.
Article D:
Other good and just suggeations
