I'm sure they do have merit. My concern was for you (and others) that perhaps you were trying really hard to "teach" people something that they didn't want to be "taught". Of course your opinions are valid -- I just thought it'd be more satisfying to you, and others, if you were to share that information with people who wanted to have that discussion.
