I got a PBC for saying that the person who impersonated Dinah is psychologically immature and uses hurtful defense mechanisms.
Based on prior discussion of that incident, and Gabbi's block, it looks like Dr Bob has decided to extend the exact same civility protection to the impostors as to all of us posters who abide by the rules and use the site the way it's intended.
I have a hard time accepting that policy. We're allowed to criticize lots of people here-- our doctors, pharmaceutical companies, our therapists, Dr Bob, our friends, boyfriends, etc. But we can't criticize the actions of this person (people?) who seems to have declared war on the site.
Dr Bob says we can post about our feelings of hurt and anger, but can't criticize the posts or the poster. I don't understand if this is some kind of radical turn-the-other-cheek type of exercise for us, or if it's just simpler from an administrative point of view to treat us all alike, or if he's genuinely concerned about the feelings of the impostor, or what. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
The worst part is it seems this policy just gives more power to the impostor. I imagine he/she is quite pleased with this outcome. That makes me angry at the impostor and at Dr Bob.
