Have to admit, it was a different experience than I thought it would be. It's one thing to watch Dr Bob's decisions, another to be responsible myself.
What I learned...
1) The substitute teacher just doesn't get the same respect as the real teacher
2) Though our attention is grabbed by the blocks and controversies, there are a lot of posters who really just want to talk about meds.
3) Moderating is a big job. just reading all the posts takes a lot of time. I don't know how Dr Bob keeps up.
4) You can't control or predict people's reactions.
5) People aren't reacting to "me" so much as to the role of authority figure.
6) The guidelines are subjective, like people have pointed out, and it's tough to make the calls. There's bound to be inconsistency. On a personal note, I learned that having to PBC or block someone causes my anxiety to go up. Still exploring what that's about.
Thanks to all for your support.
