first, i abhore plagerism, so you can be sure that whenever i post something that isnt written by me, i'll place it in quotations...on usually any part of poetry i'll cite the author etc...
however... okay, lets say i give the source, i've also been asked to give a brief explanation...
now, i know some people read my posts, some dont, thats okay by me... but its tiresome and extraneous to give an explanation for every single thing that gets posted... its almost as if its easier just to be chatty and 'hey howya doin?' than post something more in depth... you're required to nurse the reader along so they dont get the wrong idea or feel bad...
one poster who we all remember posted his own para-religion and when asked for explanations never once gave any to what he had written, just more words seemingly pulled from air as well as a cross section of other religions mashed together put through a blender and then liquified for epicac purposes...
One example, then I'll leave you all alone, lets take the quote:
"Well then Ill fit you, Hieronymo's mad againe"
...okay, lets source it to T.S. Eliot, from "What the Thunder Said", from the poem The Wastelands;
however, Eliot took the line from a subtitle of Thomas Kyd's "Spanish Tradgedy", and for specific reasons...
Here is a whole page's worth of analysis on it:
