i read an abstract of a study in animals, once...
they gave the animals however much buspar plus however much haloperidol. then they had animals they pumped full of haloperidol, but no buspar. the animals given buspar+haloperidol didn't develop 'vacuous chewing movements'--the animal form of TD--as often as the haloperidol only group.
but...you're on some serious stuff, already. id kinda be worried about drug-drug interactions. plus...psych docs ive dealt with will load people up on non-controlled stuff, but they're not so good at taking people off of things. so...be careful not to get loaded up on things, please. :-)
having said all that, some people swear by buspirone. a former psych doc (one of many...) told me she 'wasn't impressed' with it solo, but it worked well with antidepressants. i don't know the data well enough to know if that's been backed up in large studies, or its simply her opinion.
ok. hope this helps.
