In reply to Who's had Genetic Testing for ADs? Discussion....?, posted by Mtom on July 31, 2018, at 14:08:32
While I'm not understanding the depth of your post, such as NM or IM, the test affirmed what I knew from my trail and error. Agents that work on norepinephrine, for instance, are helpful. Confirmed I was on a compatible AD (trintellix), and I do well with stimulants, needing more than average amount. Maybe I'm a more rapid metabolizer? Lamotrigine was also a good fit (which I'm on). Lithium was NOT. I always hated the med that left me with a permanent tremor. My thumbs twitch sometimes.
I can find my test somewhere.
Nothing earthshaking. But I'm stable atm.
Oh! But my doc found it interesting. He went down his psychopharmacologist rabbit hole, deep in thought. It's endearing.
