I had S.S. once -- relatively mild but VERY unpleasant. Caused by combining Wellbutrin and Serzone -- should have been safe as Wb doesn't affect serotonin directly, but there must have been some indirect effect,maybe via the Cy enzymes. I stayed up all night posting here to stay sane -- I'm sure my embarassing posts are still in the archives.

First line treatment seems to be benzodiazepines. Cyproheptadine may be helpful, an old-line antihistamine still available OTC (at my pharmacy anyway). Anti-psychotics are also recommended. See Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serotonin_syndrome for more suggestions.
