Hi.
Lamictal is not a good anti-manic mood stabilizer. It usually works more as a bottom-up bipolar antidepressant without the tendency to destabilize or cause a switch into mania. Interestingly, Lamictal does help with rapid cycling when combined with lithium or an anticonvulsant mood stabilizer.
