AD 'poop out', remeron

Posted by Christ_empowered on February 19, 2015, at 14:42:52

I've heard of this w/ SRI meds. Is it common to all ADs, regardless of mechanism of action? Seems like, back in the day, people got on TCA or MAOIs and stayed on them, no problems. Or is that just my (mis)perception?

Also...I'm on 200mgs Wellbutrin SR. I was thinking about asking my doc to drop one of my PRN meds (neurontin, risperidone) and add in a reasonable dose of remeron at night, to boost the wellbutrin and counter this weird semi-insomnia I've been having (waking up early, unable to go back to sleep for a couple hours). That or drop the lamictal for remeron...that would keep my daily meds at 4, which is a little more than I'd like, but probably normal for my set of problems.

Your thoughts?
