> That's what I'm talking about. The idea of taking a Med that helps increase the health of the brain-body by doing away with chemicals and toxins that decrease the body's ability to function correctly. This sounds a million times more logical than taking something that will affect your brains functioning in such an unnatural way as Prozac.

Yeah, but a little clarification. Cholestryramine will not directly remove toxins from the brain. The only substances I am aware of that will do that directly are DMSA, cilantro, Alpha Lipoic Acid.

The neurotoxins we are talking about are fat soluble. They store in fat cells throughout the brain and body. As they are slowly cleaned out, they get dumped into the bile and gut, where much of it is then reabsorbed. Cholestyramine breaks that cycle by removing the toxins in the gut. Then, by way of homeostasis and equilibrium, the other stored toxins will make their way out eventually to make up for what was removed. They "spread out" to fill the gaps. So as time goes on, more and more is leached out of the brain, and more and more makes it to the toilet instead of back to the brain.

I was bigtime into all the psych drugs 10 years ago. I mean, my whole life and being was centered around studying and knowing and trying psych drugs. I just felt so bad and nobody was getting me better. Had somebody told me back then the same stuff I am talking about in my posts these days, I would have laughed with skepticism and ridicule. I would have labelled that person a kook and I would have thought they were dangerous to patients....too risky, too much unknown, doc doesn't know anything about it, sounds like whacko medicine not real medicine.....ya know?

But of course, when I stepped back, removed my prejudice, and just took a look....there is nothing there that does not make sense. It all fits. It does make sense.

Psychiatrists should be experts on the topics of infection, neurotoxins, and inflammation. That's because most of the symptoms they attempt to treat have those as the cause. Do you know who should be the leading experts on Lyme Disease?.....Psychiatrists! But they are not. They know so very little about the diseases that cause their patients' symptoms. It is so frustrating! They get paid so well too. I do not get it. Very confused.

Mentioned it in another post. My above complaints really go back to where the logic finger points.....CDC and FDA...both doing lousy jobs in their own self interest.

imo. patients should do their own research for validation.
