RJ,
I just wanted to say that I liked your post and that I think that you're right that those of us who are struggling with the symptoms of mental illness should keep fighting, no matter how frustrating things may get.
I've personally had enough of my medication, and I think that it might be doing more harm than good, but regardless of what I end up doing medication wise, I will heed your words to keep fighting.
Things can get hopeless when the tools to fight our mental health conditions don't seem to live up to a lot of the hype that seems to surround them, and sometimes we (our treatment professionals and ourselves) need to try less-than-conventional methods of pursuing mental well being. And a lot of the time, these less-than conventional methods are only so helpful, which can lead to even more frustration and hopelessness. Those of us with mental illnesses that are more or less resistant to treatment sure do get knocked down a lot, but it's our ability to get back up again and keep fighting that makes us strong.
Keep fighting, RJ.
