> I had an excellent response to Nardil anxiety-wise, but it made me always feel zoned out and tired and didn't do much for my depression because of it. So I was thinking about starting Parnate, but was wondering has anyone successfully used Lyrica with it for anxiety? I figure if Parnate does wonders for my depression but doesn't do enough anxiety-wise Lyrica might be great for that

My Response: I've been on parnate now for 7 weeks and it's still continuing to get to its full effect. I suffer from anxiety but have found parnate very useful as it tends to overwhelm the anxiety but you need to give it lots of time. After the first week the anxiety may actually increase for awhile as some neurotransmitters will balance out before others but hang in there. Around the 3 week mark, things should start getting a lot better and by about weeks 5-8 you should know whether this med and dose will be right for you. As parnate hits all neurotransmitters, it maybe wise for the med to reach it's full potential before you start adding other meds. You may get increased anxiety, irritability and nervousness along with afternoon tiredness after about the first week. These effects are very transient and won't stay with you any longer than a few weeks unless you increase the dose.
