Well go figure. My second blood test just came back normal today (91). Monday was 135. What could cause glucose levels to vary so much? I did't eat anything rich or extraordinary. Lithium has dampened my appetite. I eat less and drink tons of water. I also found out today that my lithium level is too high--1.3. I'm waiting to speak to my doctor.
That lithium can affect blood sugar came from the pages of the NYT. PubMed has a piece on lithium and endocrine functions as well.
Right now, 91 is as high as my levels were when I was using Saphris. I decided because of that medication's negative effect on my body to forgo AP's. I know many here find them indispensable.
Anyways, I think I was freaking out. Sorry. Not that it isn't true--that lithium could be elevating my glucose levels--I seem to be sensitive to side-effects
