> I went to my pdoc today. He says he just feels like lithium still might work for me. Um, I have tried it twice. I'm not bipolar 1, maybe a little bipolar 2. No hypomania, just different levels of depression. I just read about my last experience with lithium, a few years ago. I was on it for at least a month- no mood help, no mood cycling help, hungrier, slower thinking, tired.

Hi, your condition sounds a lot like mine, no mania, just various grades of depression.
I am on 600 mg Lithium (together with Nort, Valdoxan and Marplan rising dosage) but I cant say for sure if it is working - I hope to maybe cut back on the dosage when I get the Marplan higher.
But I have heard from various doctors that it can take several months up to 6 before you see the full effect of Lithium. And there is a general feeling among doctors I have met that Lithiun is effective to treating unipolar depression.
