> The first time I took Vistaril (about a year ago) I went from teetering on the edge of a panic attack to a placid puddle of peace in the space about about 45 minutes. Few things in life bore me more than watching someone play video games, but I was quite content to lie on the couch and quietly watch my brother and his girlfriend play Call of Duty for about six hours. Sadly, it never had the same punch after that first dose. It was helpful for sleep for awhile, but I either built up tolerance or just became immune to it. But I also experienced the same diminishing returns with Trazodone. When I first started taking it, I would drift off to sleep in about 45 minutes and be out cold for at least nine hours and, even then, have to force myself out of bed because i was still so sleepy. Now, I can take 150 mg. and drift off after about an hour before waking up three hours later. What I wouldn't give for the relaxing bliss of that first dose of Vistaril...
Oh Meatwood, what I would give to be in a placid puddle of peace, that sounds so blissful.
Vistaril doesn't make me sleepy; my anxiety is just too strong to let it make me feel that way.
My biggest worry is that I will build up tolerance to it like I do to pretty much everything else. Reading that you have probably built up tolerance to it worries me. And makes me mad. I *finally* find something that's effective, and it will probably give up on me too. I feel like screaming
