> Hi guys,
> I'm sure some of you have seen/responded to my posts in the past. I have been on meds since I was 13, am 27 years old now, and having a bit of a rough go of it. I have taken many many antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and antipsychotics. Recently I have developed adverse reactions to SSRI's Celexa, Zoloft, and Prozac. I spent some time off the meds because I was sure they had made me sick, but depression/anxiety/agitation got so bad I felt suicidal. I am just starting Remeron (which I'd taken before) 15mg 5 days ago and it is helping a bit but I am so tired, lethargic, and hungry I am feeling hopeless of recovery.
> I am accepting that perhaps I am a "lifer" with psych drugs, and was wondering if anyone has taken antidepressants/psych meds for this long successfully? I keep fearing that nothing will help me ever again, and I will never move on from this phase. If anybody has successfully stayed on these drugs for about 14+ years and is living a normal, happy life, please share with me your experience. It doesn't have to be perfect, but I need to know it's possible. God bless us all, we all deserve the best. Thanks.Hi PrettyLady,
Don't get discouraged and keep on going. Most people in this forum do get better and move on. This is like a pit stop for many who are waiting for the right combination. You are young and there are many interesting new developments in medicine. So hang in there. We are here to support you. And if you see someone is no longer posting, then you know that person got better.
You'll be fine
