clonazepam is more mind slowing...xanax is good sometimes for the mood and anxiety..its used for some depression in stuff i've came across. I've been on klonopin for years and realized that it will definetly relieve anxiety but it made me so depressed. I've read a couple times in medical places that its an antimanic...slows down nuerotransmitters, its wierd...you know all these benzos have their own unique effects, when really there just suppost to work like the general term benzodiazepine.

Seriously...check out lorazepam, its less mind sedating than klono but diffrent from alprazolam. And also look into GABA reptake inhibitors like Gabitril and Depakote which are used both as antisiezure stuff and mood disorders. They will increase the effect of benzos....actually may prevent tolerance because of increase in gaba in the synapse. Who knows..

i don't know much on MAOIs...its a bit difficult with my doctor because she views them outdated, but like 60percent of people here on babble are on mao's

hope the appointment was successful
