In reply to Good Mathematician Figure A Dose Equivelancy, posted by Phillipa on September 17, 2012, at 23:51:35
> Was googling last night and found the luvox which I knew potentiated many other meds. Saw a mention of cymbalta no dose given being like l0 pills with luvox no doseage given Also. I questioned my pharmacist today and told her I new that benzos other than ativan have this effect with luvox. I asked if the 50mg I take how much it effected the xanax & valium I take. She checked said the comparison given was that 150mg of luvox decreased excreation of valium by 68%. She couldn't figure out how much or how much stronger the 50mg I take is with the .5mg of xanax and 7.5mg of valium. Reason I asked was used to be able to just cut down on benzos before luvox no problem. But cut to .25mg of xanax other night and felt so depressed. Does anyone know how to figure this out? Thanks Phillipa
Phillipa - this may have absolutely nothing to do with you, but I do know that smoking decreases Xanax blood concentrations by 50 percent.
Hope you are feeling OK.
