Because there is a pharmacokinetic interaction between these drugs, you must take only 1/2 the dosage of TCA normally used when combined with Seroxat. This might be true of trimipramine as well. If this interaction has not been addressed by your doctor, you will need to have a conversation with him about this. You don't want to become toxic on trimipramine. You should probably start with 25 mg/day and move to 50 - 75 mg/day.
