I found no difference between Valium & klonopin when it came to sleep--sleep was problematic from the withdrawal, regardless of what I was taking. Valium does work wonderfully as a muscle relaxer, so that aspect might help you w/ sleep.
although I don't necessarily think it's great to add other drugs into the mix whil detoxing, you could try a low dose of seroquel or trazadone at night to help you sleep.
